Most drummers change their kit around to accommodate the style they are being asked to perform. Steve does this as well (...sometimes), but tends to switch things or add things, depending on his mood, or recent influences. He claims it helps to change things around, as the change often demands for a different approach, resulting in "fresh ideas."
